Mogey and Smush happened upon Old Man Youngman in the village square, where he was showing off his '27 Studebaker Dictator in phthalo green. A small crowd had gathered around the vintage automobile.
"This is some vehicle!" admired Mr. Sister, the town's leading nun impersonator.
"I dunno," replied Old Man Youngman. "Sometimes I think she might be too much car at my age."
"If you're thinking of donating her, I hear 1-877-KARS-4-KIDS does some great work," Mr. Sister suggested.
"I've also heard that 1-866-RIDES-4-MOGES does some excellent, um, work," Mogey interjected.
"Sounds interesting," said Old Man Youngman. "Mayhap I'll give them a call and see what they say."
He strode to a nearby payphone and began to dial.
"You're calling now?" Mogey asked. "I mean--good! That's most excellent. Just so you know: I've heard 1-866-RIDES-4-MOGES gets very backed-up this time of year. It can sometimes take them a good ten--" here Smush elbowed Mogey and pointed to the corn dog stand. "Ahem! A good twenty minutes to answer the phone."
