On the first truly warm day of spring, Smush flung open the back door and galavanted into the donkey pasture.
"Cooooool greeeeeen grassssssss!" he bellowed ecstatically.
"Wassat?" Mogey asked blearily as he sauntered up from the donkey barn. He'd taken to sleeping out in the hayloft ever since he learned that the three largest donkeys - Hunkins, Mack, and The Dribble - snored in harmony.
"Cooooool greeeeeen grassssssss," Smush repeated, miming a snow angel in the field.
"Yeah, yeah, so it's spring," Mogey grumbled. "What of it?"
"Cooooool greeeeeen grassssssss!"
"Hmmm," murmured Mogey, concocting a most devilish idea. "What does Smush want for dessert?"
"Hotttttttt fudggggge sundaeeeeeee," Smush called back.
